Embedded Systems Engineer
When solving a problem with either hardware or software, you should consider the requirements of the solution, list your inputs, and understand your outputs. This methodology is what I call Systems Engineering, which is a greater skillset than Hardware or Software Engineering alone.
The photograph on the right shows the Percé rock in Gaspe. There are better angles that more clearly show a “piercing” towards the right side of the main structure, but this is the best picture I personally took.
